The lawmaker representing Ibadan South-West Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Yusuf Oladeni Adebisi, has distributed cash support, bags of rice and other valuable gifts worth millions of naira to members and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) across the constituency as part of activities marking the Sallah celebration.
The festive support attracted party executives, ward leaders, women groups, youths and loyal party members from ward 1 -6 in Ibadan South-West Local Government, amid jubilation and appreciation from beneficiaries who described the gesture as timely and impactfu while using opportunity to congratulate him on his receiving his nomination to re-contest his candidacy as Oyo House of Assembly aspirant in 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Hon. Adebisi said the initiative was aimed at supporting party faithful and easing the economic burden on families during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration period.
According to him, the season of Sallah remains a period of sacrifice, love, unity and compassion, stressing that leaders at all levels must continue to identify with the people, especially during challenging times.
The lawmaker urged Muslims and Nigerians in general to embrace peace, tolerance, resilience and the teachings of the holy season, noting that national development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and understanding.
“Sallah teaches us sacrifice, patience, love and peaceful coexistence. I encourage our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to uphold these values and pray for the peace, progress and stability of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole,” he stated.
Hon. Adebisi further appreciated leaders and members of both the PDP loyalists merging with APM in Ibadan South-West Constituency I for their continuous loyalty, support and commitment to the collective political movement within the constituency.
He assured party stakeholders that he would continue to prioritize the welfare of the people and remain committed to grassroots development, empowerment and inclusive representation.
The distribution reportedly covered local government executives, ward executives, women coordinators, youth leaders and several party members drawn from the PDP and APM structures within the constituency.
Many party beneficiaries commended the lawmaker for what they described as consistent generosity, accessible leadership and dedication to the welfare of constituents.
They also prayed for greater success and political advancement for Hon. Adebisi, expressing confidence in his leadership capacity and continued service to the people of Ibadan South-West Constituency I and Oyo State at large.
