Makinde Commission Gege Police Station, Eulogies Hon Adebisi Over His Laudable Achievements


Governor of Oyo State Engineer Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde yesterday join leaders of Ibadan Southwest Local Government to commission  an ultra modern Police Station built by the lawmaker representing Ibadan Southwest constituency 1,Hon. Yusuf Oladeni Adebisi in Gege Area.

Speaking at the event His Excellency Gov Makinde expresses satisfactory in achievements of the lawmaker with the kind of projects he embarked upon during his tenure as a lawmaker saying the journey of Omituntun 1.0 ending May this year have put the state to the level of prosperity and Omituntun 2.0 is to sustainable the development.


"Honourable Adebisi have queue into the Omituntun 2.0 because he has been able to perform in this first phase and I am happy to be today and commission this project".


"This is part of measure to reduce crime rates and to make sure we live in peace among ourselves and I congratulate the people of this constituency for having a visionary lawmaker like Adebisi". Governor Makinde said.

Earlier honourable Adebisi expressed a profound gratitude to His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde for finding time to commission the project and also thank the effort of his father Alhaji Taye Akande Adebisi for his support to make the police station dream a reality.

Representative of the youth in the area also thanked the governor and requested that governor should kindly grant them another request which is secondary school in the constituency and his Excellency have approved it .

Hon. Adebisi, who is also the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Sports, urged the people of the constituency to demonstrate their love and support by electing him and Governor Seyi Makinde for second term in office come March 18 when the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections will be holding.

The step to construct a standard police station to ensure safety of lives and properties of the people, as well as maintaining laws and orders have been applauded by the leaders and stakeholders in the constituency. This is because, over the years, Gege, Born Photo, Foko, Popoyemoja, Isale-Osi and Idi-Arere areas of the constituency have been identified as hot zones and base of criminal activities in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.

They, however, acknowledged that with the presence of the police security operatives in the community courtesy of Hon. Yusuf Adebisi, the rate of crime and criminality has been reduced to the barest minimum.

Dignitaries at the event includes Ibadan Southwest Local Government chairman Hon Kehinde Akande,LCDA Head Hon. Atu , local government party chairman Murphy, all top government functionaries, Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja, Baba Hosea Agboola, party leaders among others
