The Deputy Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Yusuf Adebisi, today paid an inspection visit to his constituency to assess the progress of newly constructed convenience facilities aimed at improving sanitation and public health within the market environment.
The project, which consists of modern toilet and bath facilities, is strategically designed to serve market men and women, addressing long-standing concerns about hygiene and access to basic amenities in the trading hubs.
During the visit, Honourable Adebisi took time to engage with key market stakeholders, including the Iya l’Oja and Baba l’Oja, as well as other traders. The interactions provided an opportunity to receive firsthand feedback on the project and reinforce his commitment to people-oriented governance.
Speaking during the inspection, the lawmaker emphasized that the initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the welfare of his constituents and create a more conducive environment for commerce to thrive.
“This facility is not just about infrastructure; it is about dignity, health, and supporting the daily lives of our hardworking traders,” he stated.
The sanitation project is one of several impactful interventions executed by Honourable Adebisi over the past six years in office. His developmental strides across the constituency include the construction of a police station to enhance security, installation of water boreholes to improve access to clean water, development of pedestrian bridges for safer mobility, and the fencing of school perimeters to ensure a secure learning environment.
Residents and market leaders expressed appreciation for the consistent efforts of the lawmaker, noting that the projects have significantly improved living and working conditions across the constituency.
Honourable Adebisi reaffirmed his dedication to sustaining development initiatives that directly impact the lives of the people, pledging continued service and responsive leadership.
