‎Adebisi Reunites With Aggrieved PDP-APM Members, Welcomes APC, Accord Defectors In Ibadan Southwest

Oyo lawmaker representing Ibadan Southwest State Constituency 1 Honourable Yusuf Adebisi Receives Supporters From Across Political Parties, Says Grassroots Acceptance And Achievements Will Determine 2027 Victory.

There was excitement and renewed political alignment in Ibadan Southwest Constituency 1 as the lawmaker representing the constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Yusuf Oladeni Adebisi, reunited with aggrieved members of the PDP-APM political family and welcomed aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord Party into his political camp.

‎The gathering, which brought together youths, political stakeholders, ward representatives, campaign caucus members and supporters from across the six wards of Ibadan Southwest Constituency 1, was marked by expressions of solidarity, reconciliation and renewed commitment to the political movement of the lawmaker.

‎The event also provided an avenue for members of Hon. Adebisi's campaign team and political caucus to reaffirm their loyalty and discuss the need for unity ahead of the forthcoming electoral season.

‎Speaking at the gathering, some of the new members who identified themselves as aggrieved supporters within the APC and Accord Party said their decision to align with Hon. Adebisi was based on what they described as his visible achievements, grassroots acceptance and accessibility.

‎The APC members, who are supporters of the party's House of Assembly candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections, said Hon. Adebisi's record of representation was a more compelling political asset than what they described as the imposition of candidates by influential political leaders.

‎They specifically criticised the emergence of Tolani Adigun as the APC candidate, alleging that his political emergence was influenced by powerful party leaders whom they claimed had limited knowledge of the political landscape and grassroots dynamics of Ibadan Southwest Local Government and Oyo State.

‎The aggrieved members argued that the choice of a representative should be based on competence, experience, performance and acceptance by the people, rather than political influence or imposition.

‎According to them, Hon. Yusuf Adebisi has distinguished himself as a grassroots politician with extensive relationships across political divides in Ibadan Southwest Local Government.

‎They described the lawmaker as a politician whose political tentacles extend across different parties and communities, stressing that his accessibility and engagement with the people have earned him widespread recognition beyond the platform of his political party.

‎The new members further maintained that Hon. Adebisi's record of achievements in education, healthcare, security, youth empowerment and community development remained a strong testament to his commitment to effective representation.

‎They said his developmental interventions and continuous engagement with constituents had demonstrated that he was more concerned with delivering tangible dividends of democracy than engaging in political rhetoric.

‎The gathering also witnessed the reunion of aggrieved members of the PDP-APM family with the lawmaker, as Hon. Adebisi continued efforts to strengthen unity and consolidate his political structure ahead of the 2027 elections.

‎The lawmaker also hosted members of his campaign caucus, appreciating them for their loyalty, commitment and support. He reassured them of his goodwill and continuous support, urging them to remain united and focused.

‎As part of his gesture of support, Hon. Adebisi extended cash grants to all attendees at the gathering and promised that the welfare and wellbeing of members of his political family would remain a priority.

‎He assured members that the political movement would remain open to reconciliation, inclusiveness and constructive engagement, stressing the importance of unity in achieving collective political goals.

‎The event was attended by youth leaders and representatives from Wards 1 to 6 of Ibadan Southwest Constituency 1, the Councillor representing Ward 6, Hon. Sulaimon, as well as other APM leaders, campaign coordinators and political stakeholders.

‎The gathering further underscored the evolving political realignment in Ibadan Southwest Constituency 1, with supporters expressing confidence that Hon. Yusuf Adebisi's grassroots connection, political experience and record of achievements would continue to strengthen his support base ahead of the 2027 general elections.
