Hon. Michael Adewale Samson (MAS) has officially emerged as the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to contest for the Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal House of Representatives seat ahead of the forthcoming election.
The emergence of Hon. Michael Adewale Samson was ratified today by the leadership and stakeholders of the SDP in Oyo State under the leadership of former Majority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Mulikat Akande Adeola.
Party faithful, supporters and stakeholders described the emergence of MAS as a major step towards giving the people of Ogbomoso Federal Constituency a vibrant, youthful and people-oriented representation at the Green Chamber.
Hon. Michael Adewale Samson, popularly known as MAS, has continued to enjoy massive support across the constituency due to his consistency, accessibility and commitment to grassroots politics. Political observers and party members believe the young politician represents the new face of leadership many youths across the constituency have long desired.
Speaking shortly after his emergence, Hon. Michael Adewale Samson expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the party, ward executives, local government executives, state executives, members and supporters of the SDP for the confidence reposed in him.
He assured party members and constituents that he would not betray the trust and belief invested in his candidacy, pledging to run an issue-based campaign focused on development, empowerment, quality representation and inclusive governance.
“I sincerely appreciate the leadership of our great party, the ward executives, local government executives, state executives and all party members for their support and belief in me. This victory belongs to the people, especially the youths who desire purposeful and quality representation,” he said.
Hon. Michael Adewale Samson also paid glowing tribute to former House of Representatives Majority Leader, Rt. Hon. Mulikat Akande Adeola, describing her as “an amazon, a mother and a pillar of support whose leadership and political experience continue to inspire many young politicians across Oyo State.”
He further noted that her commitment to mentoring younger politicians and strengthening the SDP remains commendable and worthy of emulation.
Supporters who gathered to celebrate the emergence of MAS expressed optimism that his candidacy would reposition the SDP strongly within the constituency, noting that his grassroots connection and political consistency place him in a strong position ahead of the election.
The Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency seat is expected to witness keen political contest as parties continue consultations and preparations ahead of the polls.
