As Muslims across Nigeria and the world celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) House of Representatives candidate for Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Micheal Adewale Samson, has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, love, sacrifice and the teachings of Islam as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
In his Sallah goodwill message made available to newsmen on Wednesday, Hon. Micheal Adewale Samson emphasized that Eid-el-Kabir remains a sacred period that teaches humanity the values of obedience to Almighty Allah, compassion for one another, tolerance and selfless service to humanity.
The SDP stalwart urged Muslims and Nigerians at large to use the festive season as an opportunity to strengthen unity, maintain peaceful coexistence and promote harmony within their communities, irrespective of religious or political differences.
According to him, “The lessons of Eid-el-Kabir remind us of the importance of sacrifice, patience, humility and unwavering faith in Almighty Allah. At this critical time in our nation, Nigerians must continue to pray for peace, stability and progress while showing love and kindness to one another.”
Hon. Samson further encouraged youths across Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency to shun violence, political thuggery and acts capable of disrupting public peace, stressing that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and security.
He also extended warm Eid greetings to all faithful members and supporters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) across Oyo State and beyond, appreciating them for their commitment, loyalty and continuous support toward the growth of the party.
The federal house of representatives hopeful specially paid glowing tribute to the leader of the party, Mulikat Akande Adeola, describing her as a mother figure, mentor and dependable leader whose unwavering support and guidance continue to inspire many young politicians within the SDP family.
“On this special occasion, I sincerely appreciate our respected leader, Rt. Hon. Mulikat Akande Adeola, for her motherly role, steadfast leadership and unwavering support for the growth of our great party. Her commitment to empowering the younger generation remains highly commendable,” he stated.
Hon. Micheal Adewale Samson concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a peaceful, joyful and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying that Almighty Allah accepts their sacrifices and showers Nigeria with lasting peace and prosperity.
