The House of Oduduwa extends its heartfelt sympathy to the government of Oyo state, the organisers; Agidigbo Radio owned by Oriyomi Hamzat, the Women in Need of Guidance and Support(WINGS) owned by a former queen at the Ooni's Palace; Ms Naomi Silekunola Ogunseyi, the bereaved families of the young souls lost in the tragic incident in Ibadan yesterday. We share in the grief and pains that has engulfed the affected families. We pray that Olodumare grants them fortitude to bear this trying time.

We also express our solidarity with the government of Oyo State as they navigate this difficult moment especially Mr Governor's commendable responsiveness. This tragedy underscores the urgent need for collaborative efforts in ensuring the safety and well-being of our children across Nigeria.

While at the Ile Oodua here as a queen, Miss Naomi Silekuola Ogunseyi demonstrated love and cares to the children of Ile-Ife through similar events which she executed passionately to give succour to children of indigent parents every December periods like this.

The House of Oduduwa pledges to support all efforts aimed at bringing solace and healing to those affected by this devastating loss.

The House of Oduduwa calls for immediate actions to prevent such unfortunate incidents in the future, emphasizing the need for rigorous adherence to safety standards and child welfare policies in educational institutions.

While the situation calls for solemn reflection and collective responsibility, we would want to express dismay at the unprofessional conduct of some bloggers who have chosen to sensationalize the tragic incident rather than uphold journalistic integrity.

The dissemination of unverified and distorted information has only compounded the grief of the families and individuals directly affected. We urge all media practitioners to exercise restraint, compassion, and professionalism in reporting sensitive issues, as their narratives significantly influence public perception and healing processes.

The House of Oduduwa encourages all stakeholders, from government officials to the media and citizens, to unite in compassion and constructive dialogue. Let us honour the memories of the departed by fostering a culture of care, respect, and accountability in our communities.

Rather than being discouraged by the sorrowful end of the event which was initially planned to show love for the children giving helping hands to their parents during this yuletide, miss Naomi Silekunola, Mr Oriyomi Hamzat and their co-organisers should remain committed to doing such laudable programmes for the children but with better plans and strategies of execution in the future. Lesson must be learnt.

May this sorrowful moment inspire a renewed commitment to protecting our children, preserving our shared humanity, and upholding the values of truth and empathy.

Opinion: Osupa and His Uncharitable Role in the Fuji Music Controversy- Journalist Kunle Rasheed

The recent crisis in the world of Fuji music is something I've tried to avoid discussing for obvious reasons. Many might argue that my affiliation with K1's organization could bias my opinion. However, as an entertainment reporter with over 25 years of experience, I believe it's appropriate to add my voice to this ongoing issue.

I genuinely don't understand why Akorede Okunola Saheed, popularly known as Osupa, initiated another conflict in the Fuji music scene. While the feud between Taiye Currency and Alabi Pasuma was the initial spark that was eventually extinguished by the acclaimed peacemaker Mayegun himself, Osupa's deliberate targeting of K1 has now become the focal point of discussion among Fuji enthusiasts and practitioners.

Rumor has it that Osupa's latest tirade against K1 stems from K1 referring to himself as the owner of Fuji music. Now, I'm wondering, how could that statement ignite such a feud if not due to bad blood? Is Osupa just waking up from slumber to hear what K1 has been saying for so long? How has that affected a genre with many practitioners holding various titles? I can't help but wonder why Osupa decided to attack someone with whom he spent over five hours negotiating peace.

If Osupa believes that K1 was wrong to call himself the owner of Fuji music, why is no one questioning Osupa's claim to be the king of music, especially when legends like KSA (King Sunny Ade), Ebenezer Obey, Kollington Ayinla, Sir Shina Peters, and many other seasoned veteran musicians are still alive and active?

It's disheartening that those who choose to throw stones often forget about the glass in their own backyard. I have nothing against anyone in Fuji land who wants to be known and addressed as something, what I don't like is the unnecessary contest that comes with it.

From what I've observed over the years, the belief that Osupa is a gifted lyricist and musician has not in any way translated into financial success for him. The only time his supposed fans translate his 'gift' into success is when he decides to take on another Fuji act in a contest which does not define true love for his art. This is why Pasuma labeled himself the 'success tonic' (agunmu owo) that Osupa needed to hug the limelight and financial success.

Why don't you live and let others live? The world is fast moving from feudland to peaceland, and as such, Osupa should learn to live in peace and harmony with others, except there is a diety that promised him fame through controversy.

Who even lied to him that he sings so well when the essence of music is purely for entertainment purpose? If we can rock to rap music that I know no words to, or listen to Awilo Longomba or even Black Magic's 1er Gaou, then what have good lyrics got to do with music? Don't get me wrong, I am not against the weaving of words together to bring out quality sound, but many believe erroneously that this is what music is all about. Even in the modern world, how many of these so-called Fuji fans can beat their chests and say they know what Burna Boy or even Wizkid are saying in their various songs except the chorus? Let no one be fooled, music does not need to teach morals; its primary role is entertainment. If it does teach morals, then it's just an added advantage.

To be continued...

This is still Kunle Rasheed echoing his inner thoughts.

Nigerians React As Pasuma,Taye Currency feud lingers On.

*Taye's Apology is Enough For Pasuma Not to React Again and Caution His Fans Unguided Utterances.

Wasiu Alabi Odetola popularly known as Pasuma wonder and Apesin of Fuji kingdom, Alhaji Taiwo Akande Adebisi, known as Currency which have degenerated to fans verbal assault.

According to onlookers it was believed that the misunderstanding came out when Ibadan born Fuji star ,Taye Currency sings about his current status as a man that need respect from junior musicians who passed through Alabi Pasuma but always look at him with disrespect.

Another source revealed that Taye currency explained that Pasuma is his boss and not his father as it always being an anthem from Lagos based musician, Pasuma wonder who refer to Baba Honourable as his son.

This refutes from Taye was misconstrued by fans and began to label him as a "traitor."

Speaking on the matter one of the close ally of a lover of Fuji , Amos Adewale Ado explained that truth be told how can a man of 57 years old gave birth to a man of 50 years and that because Taye is a cultured man he is taking it like that and this is the time he has to refuse it for the future of his career and this issue raised from Taye's song should not be term into another thing at all.

"Their is no apprentice that doesn't graduate from their apprenticeship programs and their is no big deal if Currency passes through Pasuma because Pasuma also passed through some or one artiste and those artistes are at loggerhead with him because he refused to respect them accordingly".

Taye currency is good to go and stand on his own, forming unnecessary alliance can never allow improvement, progress and stability in their individual music business, even twins that were born same day do things differently and above all everybody is disappointed in Wasiu Alabi Pasuma including his fans too on the show he came to do in Ibadan few days ago, is not only unfortunate but rather unexpected from an elderly person to utter such derogatory words. Amos concludes.

The onlookers however have suggested that the two unions, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Apesin Taye currency can be mend , hence they should stand on their own and run their separate music career for healthy fuji music in Nigeria.

Also another Nigerian and a lover of fuji music, Azeezat Azeez also add that the whole matter is not something that should cause crisis but Pasuma fans was triggered out of envy, unnecessary rivalry and an exhibition of huge indiscipline, saying fuji should have grown from the present situation.

She explained that Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Apesin Taye currency are brothers but due to undue influence and interference from fans degenerate the issue into this and I will still tell the leaders especially Pasuma to caution his fans. Everyone is disappointed in the unguided unterances from Pasuma over the weekend in Ibadan.

HEALTH: OONI UNVEILS INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL, DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE, URGES END TO FOREIGN MEDICAL TOURISM

With a view to putting an end to the endemic medical tourism by which Nigerians spend between $1.5 billion to $2 billion annually on foreign medical cares, the Ooni of Ife, Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR Ojaja II, will on Monday July 15th and 16 July 2024 officially launch the EQUITY SPECIALIST CLINIC & DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE a subsidiary of his Equity Health Group located at Lekki Phase One area of Lagos. This first of its kind medical conglomerate opened for public use this morning of Monday, July 1st, 2024, is a pioneering healthcare services provider  established by the foremost African monarch to transform the landscape of healthcare delivery,  missioned to provide accessible, high-quality medical services globally, fostering wellness and medical excellence within communities across Africa.

In a release signed by Otunba Moses Olafare, Director, Media Public Affairs, Ooni's Palace says  Ooni Ogunwusi emphasized that premium must be placed on humanity and life in particular by ensuring no patient will be denied qualitative healthcare due to financial constraints especially in time of emergencies.

This development is inspired by the Ife monarch's involvement and immeasurable investment in Nigeria’s health sector since becoming the Arole Oduduwa, particularly as demonstrated when the COVID-19 pandemic that ravaged the world in the year 2020 which saw his intervention of free distribution of over 100 hundred motorised fumigation vehicles and equipments across the length and breath of Nigeria which cost him a whooping hundreds of millions of Naira as he constituted a team of professionals and brought together reputable medical research outfits, laboratories and other institutions to ensure that Nigerians are safe.

Speaking in a videocast in his palace at Ile-Ife recently on the motivation for the healthcare conglomerate, the Ooni said, “the last pandemic drew my attention to a lot of untapped medical potentials of we black people especially here on the throne of Oduduwa, these stuffs (Herbs and its likes) are what saved us from experiencing major challenges faced by most developed countries when no one regardless of riches or status could travel to seek medical attention abroad."

The President of Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Forum stated how he had to constitute a team of scholars particularly in the medical profession and veterans in the business/practice of the ancient herbal and alternative medicine who brainstormed on exploiting the best in African local herbal medicine, and how  this led to the discovery of potent solution through which beneficial products with which his team combated and defeated the pandemic were discovered.

"I must hail the collaboration with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRID) and frontline medical research institutions in the country which brought us this far".

“I remember developing an initiative, called “Pan African Foundation for Indigenous Medical Research and Development (PAFIMERD)” in 2020 during the celebration of African Traditional Medicine Day. All these activities have now snowballed into Equity Health Group; an international hospital and diagnostic centre with a lot of interlinked arms of medical solution including drug manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and vaccine production among others. The best part of it is that this facility will source its ingredients locally, thereby strengthening the Naira while boosting the country’s productivity." Ooni said.

According to him, the Equity Health Group stands at the forefront of healthcare innovation, encompassing a diverse portfolio of subsidiaries. He promised that through these subsidiaries, he  endeavors to complement the government's efforts a revolutionizing healthcare delivery and promote well-being of Nigerians globally.

"At Equity Health Group, we believe in patient-centered care, innovation and integrity.

Our watchword is to dignify human life by attending to all emergencies immediately regardless of the patient’s financial status. We will work to save lives first and not asking for papers or money from a dying patient.” he added.

On  his  involvement, the Ooni who doubles as the Overall Head of the Oduduwa race worldwide revealed that, he is in partnership on the company with a young visionary entrepreneur - Dozy Mmobuosi who has a very clear and similar vision to take the black race out of over dependence on the Western world for medicine and healthcare, saying efforts are combined to make it a world-class medical institution and diagnostic centre of reckon across the continent of Africa.

“I am pleased to inform you that the company has three subsidiaries. The first is the Equity Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre; a comprehensive hospital and diagnostic service that focuses on advanced medical technology and personalized care. Presently, it is situated in Lagos State with plans for expansion to other parts of the country and the United Kingdom. The second arm is the Equity Pharmaceuticals; a company that will leverage innovative technology to provide quality pharmaceutical products and services. The last but not the least is the Equity Vaccine Laboratories; an arm that focuses on research and development of vaccines for global health security. With this, we aim to pioneer vaccines to tackle pressing global health challenges and ensure a safer future for all.

“In actualizing the purpose of this outfit, we shall bring on board our higher institutions of learning particularly the medical arms of reputable universities including the Ojaja University, Eyenkorin, Ilorin, Kwara State which I own. This will cement the “town and gown” relationship, thereby enhancing the productivity of our graduates.” Ooni said

Ooni Ogunwusi who is the Co-Chairman, National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN ) concluded that the advancement in health facilities in the country especially with the involvement of private sector like the Equity Health Group, will provide a convenient spot for Nigerians to abolish the culture of foreign medical tourism.

“Aside from the provision of unequaled medical services for Nigerians in line with best global practice, Equity Health Group is structured to actively participate in global medical research especially in the area of vaccine production/development to safeguard  global health. As the giant of Africa, Nigeria should be at the forefront in vital global medical conversations like the development of vaccines against malaria disease upon which we cannot afford to  be dependent on the Western world.

“While I am neither a medical doctor nor a pharmacist, I passionately believe that we have what it takes to change the narrative of over dependence on medical tourism to the developed countries. Beyond the area of research, Africa and indeed Nigeria can be a major powerbroker in the global pharmaceutical and medical industry.” The Ooni concluded.
