The Nigerian Customs in its renewed effort to curb smuggling has sealed up the Ibadan warehouse of popular businessman and Chairman of Sunshine Oil and Chemicals, Rotimi Obeisun.
In a recent raid of his warehouse at Podo, Ibadan, officers of the Nigerian Customs carted away about 100,000 bags of rice which they called contraband and later sealed up the warehouse.
A source at the Nigerian Customs hinted that the socialite heads a smuggling cartel which their operatives had been trying to break for a long time.
As at the time of filing this report it was not clear if the businessman had been arrested as he was alleged to have gone into hiding after the seal up of his warehouse.
