Hon. Akeem Ige leads Lead City SRC To Donate For St. Anne's School, Visits victim of Robbery Attack


The students representative council of Lead city University todsay donatewda writing  boardand other educational materials to St. Anne’s Schools, along Molete, Ibadan.
Speaking at the event the Vice President Lead City University Student Representative Council (SRC) Dapo Durosaro, said the maiden program of the student body sponsor by eminent Nigerian in donating education materials is to serve as motivation and help the students to showcase their talents.
Dapo also noted that the material will also add to value of the school and enhance teaching process of the teachers.
He however described the donor of the materials, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige as a good representative at the state house of assembly who has catch a niche for himself right from his days as Ibadan South East council boss and still supporting students in no measure.
Hon. Akeem Ige ,representing South-East constituency 11 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, said  that the essence of leaning as students is to be expose to modern day learning materials, saying the idea of embarking on a community service for secondary schools in Oyo State is to serve as motivational and help the students to showcase their talents.

 Hon. Akeem Ige also disclosed the State Assembly has set up a committee called Oyo state Educational Trust Fund and passed a bill into law to look into how the #1,000 levy collecting from the students will judiciously used for its purpose which is the development of the education in the state and to be channel to other state use, which he claimed that the executives has promise to handover the money generated so far to the Educational Trust Fund committee.

Also speaking was the principal of the school, Mrs. Otetile appreciate the students of Lead city students representatives council for their selfless service and commitment to improve the education sector of the state with their own gesture.
“What we are expressing today at St. Anne’s school is remarkable from the students by giving out to the society at their own level and the students too are looking up to them as a model which is quite impressive”. She said.

Mrs. Otetile however pray for success and breakthrough in all the students endeavors.

In his vote of thanks, Goodswill Gbehinbo, President Students Representative council (SRC) of the Lead City University, Ibadan expresses joy and appreciation to the school authority for allowing them and to Hon. Ige for his kind gesture.



In a related development, the Hon. Akeem Ige led opthe top management of the school to a hospital where two youth corps members and a night guard were being hopitalised since last night over a robbery attack that took place on the school.

Recalling their ordeal with the armed robbers, both Adeosun  Adeola a graduate of English Education from Obafemi Awolowo University and  Soremekun Timilehin, an English Lingusitics graduate of Redeemer’s University, narrated that the robbers numbering about six (6) came to their room while asleep and started harassing them before they were wounded and matcheted.

While the night guard, Mr Ishola Olaitan also said six members of the gang ambushed him, pinned him down and injured him on his head in is struggle with the robbers but was overpowered and fainted before he was rushed down to the hopitald in the same midnight.

They all thank the honourable member of the state house of assembly, Akeem Ademola Ige for his mild touch and gesture.
