Barely 24 hours after the death of Ibadan billionaire, Aare Arisekola Alao some of his children and domestic were at loggerheads over a missing 30 million naira from his bedroom.
It was revealed that the Aare who thought he would return to Nigeria after a brief medical check-up in the United Kingdom instructed his account officer to deliver some amount of money (30 million naira in cash) to his Ikolaba home.
It was confirmed that the account officer brought the money which was allegedly collected by one of his children who claimed to have kept him inside the deceased's bedroom as he was been instructed by him.
It was further gathered that immediately after the sad news of the Aare Musulumi's demise reached his home, the money developed wings and vanished into thin air and created a ripple amongst the children and some of the domestic staffers who traded accusation and counter-accusation over the missing money.
One of the late billionaire's sons who was with him in London where he gave up the ghost claimed he was present when their father was giving instructions to one of their brothers on where to keep the money which he planned to spend on his return. Part of the money was said to have been planned to be used to procure food and materials towards the Ramadan for the needy who usually storm the Ikolaba, Ibadan home of the late business mogul.
The missing money was said to have created a rancour among the billionaire's children who claimed they suspected one of their brothers and their father's cook(his longest serving staff) as the culprits as they were both the only people allowed to go inside his bedroom which was said to have a large vault where the late billionaire keeps his money and other valuables.
A source revealed that the 'Aare' who had a premonition on his death (according to his physician's report) was said to have been careful with the cash he keeps in his room for the past few months.
It was also claimed that the man in preparation of his death has directed that the two lions in his mini-zoo be given to the zoo of the University of Ibadan while some of his close friends also revealed that he already marked a spot beside where his mother was buried as his final resting place.
Another source also revealed that the late billionaire was said to have revealed to some people close to him that he had few time to spend if the medical reports were right, a statement his friends and family asked him not to make again with the finality that 'there's nothing God cannot do'.
His health status was said to have blown to the public after his argument with one of his closest aides (a top politician in Ibadan) who told him on the phone 'Aare why are you doing this to me? Despite you knowing that you have just six months to spend alive'. The Aare Musulumi was said to have died barely a month after the phone-conversation/confrontation he had with his protege.
The Aare Musulumi who died a week and some days ago was a popular businessman and one of the richest men in Ibadan.
The philanthropist who had huge investments and the biggest share in First Bank Nigeria is a pillar of support to a lot of people who benefit daily from his generosity.
His will which many had predicted would have pitched his family members and legal team against themselves was read to his children, wives and other concerned relatives recently in Ibadan.
